A World Full of Choices

A WORLD FULL OF CHOICES

Now lets talk about a world full of choices. So what is somebody to do? Some of us have money to get started. Some of us don’t. Some of us like to be around people some of us don’t. We all have different gifts and values but it doesn’t really matter because there are a world full of choices. Lets talk about some those choices to bring out the hidden entrepreneur.

I’m talking about CHOICES for different streams of income that you can start part time without changing what you are currently doing.

I want to use this book Multiple Streams of Income by Robert Allen to give you some examples. Some real eye openers are in the first chapter. There is a chart that shows what will happen at age 66 if you’d invested a dollar a day starting on the day you were born. A dollar a day grows into $1 billion by normal retirement age. Is that financial freedom? After seeing that it made me think of the $1 I spent yesterday for a cup of coffee in a whole different way.

In Chapter 3 he explains the difference between linear income and residual income. I worked 19 years in my computer business for linear income. Linear income is where you get paid only once for every hour you work. With residual income, you work hard once and it unleashes a steady flow of income for months or even years. You get paid over and over again for the same effort. That is how I get paid in the business I am now in.

Another area Allen covers is REAL ESTATE. Most of us think we know about that, but there are some real eye openers in there about how to make money with a very little or no capital.

On INVESTMENTS Allen explains how to earn from 18 to 50% on your money and have it guaranteed by the government.

It took me19 years and getting hit over the head with a 2 X 4 before I came to my senses and understood what he teaches about MARKETING.

He talks about MARKETING on the internet.

Allen dedicates a whole chapter to NETWORK MARKETING – That is the one my wife and I chose because it is so easy to get started and the investment is so low. Robert Allen calls it the Ultimate Money Machine....and Robert Kiyosaki, famous for the book Rich Dad Poor Dad, has a whole book on recommending Network Marketing as a business.

Two other interesting areas covered are INFO-PRENEURING and making money with LICENSING.

So let’s go back again 40 years. What ever happened to that 16 year old kid selling frosty malts. Well that kid is me. Well I did get my 1957 Chevy. I paid $800 for it. It wasn’t the shiny black one I had envisioned, so I had to have it painted and I didn’t earn enough selling Frosty Malts to buy it but, I ended up getting a job summer job at Eagle Iron. It was a hard hot dirty job but it paid well enough to buy my ’57 Chevy at the end of the summer and to have it painted as well.

So my challenge to you today is to make it happen...To make a decision right now to pick up your dream again...whatever your dreams were when you were young.

Some of you probably wanted to be an artist an astronaut the president a fireman a movie actor you saw it in your head...........you knew that it was going to happen. But life got in the way.............and it didn’t happen.

My challenge to you today is to dig up that dream................or make up new dreams if you have forgotten them because lets face it probably none of us are ever going to be president.............and no, we might not be a movie star...........however there’s a lot of other things-- wonderful things--that probably you would rather do anyway.

My challenge is that you make it happen.

You know YOUR CURRENT REALITY

You know how to create a VISION

You know hot to be SELF MOTIVATED

Look at the world full of choices and before this day is over I encourage all of you to make a decision that the rest of your life will be different in any one of these areas we talked about…………whatever seems right for you

How many of you have kids or grandkids? Do you see that they’ve got dreams? They tell you they want to be a dancer-- an ice skater--an artist. Right? yes What’s going to happen to our kids. What’s going to happen to our grand kids?

I challenge you so that you will begin to pass on a legacy.........to people who you come in contact with..........and to the young people in your life...and that they can do the same thing and.........that we can finally change the tide...........to make this be a generation of people who do indeed make their dreams come true.

I am grateful for the Gifts God has given me.
